🎮 QTE Mining Mechanic

Mining uses a QTE (Quick Time Event) system. Start mining a rock node, hit the correct keys in sequence to successfully extract the resource.

⚡ How It Works

  1. Approach a rock node — scattered across Ridge B Valley
  2. Activate mining with the Pickaxe equipped
  3. Follow the QTE sequence — keys appear on screen; press them in the correct order before the timer runs out
  4. Success → resource collected. Failure → mining interrupted, node may need cooldown

🎯 Difficulty Scaling

Regular Mining

  • Shorter QTE sequences
  • More forgiving timing
  • Applies to Common → Very Rare tiers

☄️ Meteor Mining

  • Much harder QTE
  • Longer key sequences
  • Tighter timing window

📽️ QTE Demo

The Pickaxe Trello card includes a QTE demo GIF (qte.gif). 🔒 The GIF has not been downloaded to the wiki yet. If you know where it is hosted, share the link and we'll embed it here.

☄️ Meteor Shower Mining

During a Meteor Shower event, one interactable meteor lands at a random location on the map. Only one meteor spawns per shower event.

🔑 Key Details

Event Trigger

  • 🔒 Unknown spawn frequency
  • 🔒 Unknown server population requirement
  • One meteor per shower

Meteor Mechanics

  • Random map location
  • Much harder QTE than normal mining
  • Yields Meteor Shards
  • 🔒 Respawn after success/failure unknown

💡 Trello card note: "During a Meteor Shower, one interactable meteor that you can mine for meteor shards will land on a random location of the map (it has a much harder QTE)."

🔥 Smelting Chain

Raw ores can be smelted into metal ingots at Flint | Blacksmith. Ingots are used to craft advanced tools and weapons.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How many resources can the Pickaxe mine?

13 resource types total across 5 rarity tiers. See the full resource table above.

What is the rarest mineable resource?

Zicardite is the rarest naturally occurring ore. Meteor Shards are event-only and require a much harder QTE sequence.

Does Coal explode when mined?

No — that mechanic was removed. Coal originally had a 1/90 explosion chance, but Sunl1t removed it on 2026-10-27. Current Coal mining is completely safe.

How do I get the Pickaxe?

Buy it from Pickaxe Girl at the Digsite for 250 Moola. That's it — no quest required, just walk up and purchase.

Where do Meteor Showers happen?

During a Meteor Shower event, the meteor lands at a random location on the world map. There's only one meteor per shower.

What do I do with the ores I mine?

Raw ores can be smelted into ingots at Flint | Blacksmith, which are then used to craft advanced tools and weapons. Full smelting recipes pending.
